Statusrapport etter første EPT - turnering - Barcelona

2005

Da en danske putter Frode all-in kaster Frode. Med 11 spillere igjen (blinde 4000/8000, ante 800 og Frode har 45k) og M-verdi på 2,7, går Frode all-in på knappen med K-7 i ruter. Dansken i BB syner med A-9 off.

And Frode is out

BB calls with A-9. Flop 7-6-5, turn 2 and river 9. Good game Frode. The pot was 100k. We are signing off now. Thanks to all for following.

Frode goes all-in on the button

with Kd-7d

Irish guy finishes in 12th.

It is now 11 left. One more and the finale table. Irish guy loses big pot with AK vs. QQ.

And folds

His is now down to about 65k

Frode raises again to 30k

And takes the pot down. He has about 95k now.

Frode takes another one down before flop

The Irish guy in front of Frode folds and says to Frode: "Its your turn now". Frode makes it 30k, and says when asked how much he has, that he is not all-in. Everybody folds.

Irish guy is active at the table.

A guy ahead of Frode goes all-in. Has about the same as Frode. Frode thinks for a while and folds. This was the third time in a row the irish guy went all-in and evrybody folded.

Break is over.

Blinds are now 4000/8000 and antes are 800. Frode has been out getting some fresh air.

15 minute break and Frode has alltime high with 81k

Average is 100k with 12 players left.

Down to 12 players now

Shortstack with 33 lost to 10-6. 6 on flop. Frode at 67k

And another one in BB

SB calls to 6k, and Frode goes all-in SB folds. Frode has 73k.

Another all-in from Frode

He now has 65k

Average is 83k still and Frode has 50k

Frode has returned to the tournament circuit with his talkative style. Now he only needs a double up and will be over average.

Frode is talking the table now and steals another one

Frode raises from cut-off and everybody folds. BB shows 9-8 and Frode says pocket 9's and shows one card. 9

Frode talks button into folding

And then Frode goes all-in from SB. BB folds and Frode shows 5-3 off.

We are down to 15 players - 10 players on finale table

Frode has 36k and average is 83k

Frode steals twice in a row blinds and antes

He has now 35k and blinds have gone up to 3000/6000 antes 500.

We are down to two tables

Frode has been moved again. He looks confident even if he is short.

Frode looses a big one

3rd position raises to 12k in Frodes BB. Frode asks how much the guy has left and calls. Flop Q-10-8 with 2 clubs. Frode goes all-in and the other guy thinks for 1 minute and calls. Frode shows up J-6 of clubs and opponent shows Ac-10d. It's a coin flip for the pot. No help for Frode and he loses about 50k. Frode down to 20k now.

Frode raises to 12k in 4th pos

And with blinds 2000/4000 antes 400, evrybody folds. Frode is building stack now and looks good. Noone else out now. We are 22 players

Frode has 64k and is moved over to another table

Frode is moved away from Juha. This is going to be good for him, because Juha is a loose canon and was sitting on Frodes left hand side.

Sverre goes out in 23. place

Sverre goes all-in in BB with Q-8 of spades. UTG who had limped in calls with 10-10. No help for Sverre.

Frode pulls the hood over his head and goes all-in in BB

Frode 2

Evreybody folds to SB who calls. Frode in BB pushes all his money in, and SB with fewer chips than Frode folds. Every pot at this level is golden right now.

Sverre almost put his chips in

Sverre almost put his chips in with K-J, but elected to fold. A couple of hands later he picked up the blinds and antes.

We are down to playing for the money

There are now 27 players left and both Frode and Sverre are in the money. Blinds are 1500/3000 ante 300

End of day 1 in the €500 rebuy event

Balrog is on his way up

BalrogAfter a tough start, is Balrog now got back in the hunt. He lost a big pot earlier to runner-runner straight, but has climbed from 4k to 15k. According to himself this was mainly because he was quite lucky in a pot, where he went against the odds and won the pot. Balrog who just finished outside the money in the €1000 is one of the best tournament poker players in Norway. He is knowned to work very well with good sized stacks, and is not afraid of getting his money in the pot.
